In several years of playing mobile games, this is the best one I have played. No microtransactions or gacha or ads, just a retro pixel adventure game, similar to the Zelda series (specifically the SNES Zelda game, A Link to the Past), and similar high-quality game mechanics to classic games you rarely see anymore. It’s not quite as good as A Link to the Past for SNES because it’s a much shorter game. You do need a Netflix subscription to play it, though. I already had one, so it wasn’t an issue.

I played this game several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recently tried to re-download it, but Netflix all of a sudden requires you to sign into an account for access. How absolutely ridiculous is it for a game like this to be blocked behind a Netflix account when it didn't always require it? Netflix is a streaming service, not a gaming service, and this is a MOBILE game. Any revenue they generate from this game can't be more than a negligible amount, so why bother?

As both a fan and a gamer, this checks all the boxes. If you haven't seen the series, watch it, because there are some *mild* spoilers within. Honestly, a great retro action role play game in the style of SNES The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with its own unique character swapping mechanic and tap to interact mechanics.A large, open Hawkins that is yours to explore and collect tons of secret goodies and character upgrades. I'm barely past Ch. 2 and I'm hooked.
